ZF is reinforcing diversity as a key contributor to performance and success. As part of German national diversity day, the company organized several activities across its German and international locations to highlight the relevance and importance of diversity in business.
Local activities such as key notes, bar camps and panel discussions took place at various ZF locations yesterday, bringing the topic of diversity to life. As part of the run-up to the diversity day, the company also launched a global #JointTheConversation ePostcard campaign which invited employees to share their thoughts and success stories on diversity. At the ZF headquarters in Friedrichshafen, there is a broad mix of employees with over 60 nationalities. For the diversity day, employees came together to discuss the advantages of diversity. Wolf-Henning Scheider, Chief Executive Officer of ZF Friedrichshafen AG, and Sabine Jaskula, Member of ZF’s Board of Management and responsible for Human Resources and Legal, hoisted the “Charta der Vielfalt” flag as a sign to promote diversity in ZF.
Sabine Jaskula said: “At ZF, diversity means more than just the inclusion of different genders, cultures etc. It’s about how we work together, seeking different perspectives and different working methods so that we remain at the forefront and continue to evolve.”
The ZF Diversity Day is intended to give employees the opportunity to get involved and think about how everyone can benefit from the greatest possible diversity. Dealing with this topic will also help the company in the increasing war for talents and help to retain talent in the long term.
