Worldpac, a subsidiary of Advance Auto Parts, celebrated the opening of its new warehouse location in Hatillo, Puerto Rico, on Wednesday.
The new facility, which measures more than 30,000 square feet, will serve as a hub for the distribution of more than 400,000 original equipment and premium brand automotive parts across the island. The warehouse’s location will enable Worldpac to support local independent businesses across Puerto Rico, including most vehicle makes and models on the road.
With the new warehouse, Worldpac will offer greater inventory coverage across the island, helping local businesses to get access to the parts they need quickly and efficiently. The company will also support the employment of ten team members at the new facility, many of whom live in the surrounding community.
David Heine, Worldpac Executive Vice President of Sales, expressed pride in the new facility, which he noted will serve as the company’s second warehouse in Puerto Rico. He added that Worldpac is pleased to offer local independent businesses greater access to original equipment and leading name brand auto parts, stating that the company is committed to continued investment in Puerto Rico for years to come.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new warehouse was attended by members of the local community, including Hatillo Mayor Carlos Román Román. Worldpac’s Bayamon warehouse, which opened in 2010, continues to serve as a hub for the distribution of auto parts and accessories in Puerto Rico.
