MAM Software, Inc. announced that Brown Distributing Company has selected MAM Software’s Autopart software solution to replace their existing business system. After evaluating leading aftermarket software solutions, Brown Distributing chose Autopart, MAM Software’s business management solution for parts distribution.

Brown Distributing Company is a full-line automotive warehouse with distribution centers currently in Mishawaka & Elkhart Indiana. A third generation family company, they have been serving the Michiana area since 1958. As an active member of the TruStar group, Brown Distributing strives to provide their customers with the right part for the right price in an “old school” business environment.

Autopart will provide Brown Distributing with point-of-sale, inventory management, forecasting, purchasing, reporting and accounting for their operation.

“We believe that to stay competitive in the market, improving business processes and increasing efficiencies is a requirement” said Gil Brown, President of Brown Distributing Company. “We felt that to grow our company and raise our level of efficiency it was time to update our core business system and take advantage of the latest technology. After a careful evaluation; we selected Autopart.”

Autopart will provide Brown Distributing with point-of-sale, inventory management, forecasting, purchasing, reporting and accounting for their operation. It will allow them clear visibility across both locations and enable them to easily move parts between them; making sure that the parts are where they are most needed.

“We are excited to be selected by Brown Distributing” said Lance Brierley, General Manager of MAM Software, North America. “The aftermarket continues to challenge distributors and we look forward to working with Brown Distributing to help them meet those challenges and grow their company going forward.”
