Executives from prominent vehicle supplier companies are preparing to take center stage at a sustainability-focused summit slated for next month in Troy, Michigan. The event, organized by the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA) Center for Sustainability, is named the “Sustainability Summit,” and will take place on August 15, 2023.
In the segment titled “My Sustainability Journey,” top supplier executives including Ed Edwards, the President and CEO of Circuit Board Medics; Maureen Kline, Vice President of Public Affairs and Sustainability at Pirelli Tire North America; Jill Kupcak from Robert Bosch LLC’s Corporate Office of Sustainability and EHS; and Santosh Singh, Senior Vice President at DENSO, will share their organizations’ individual paths to sustainability.
The discussions aim to offer attendees valuable insights on industry benchmarks and a frame of reference to understand their own sustainability efforts.
“The path to sustainability is a new venture for many vehicle suppliers,” said John Chalifoux, chief sustainability officer for MEMA, The Vehicle Suppliers Association. “Hearing first-hand accounts from executive peers will provide beneficial information that can help attendees as they build their own sustainability and ESG roadmaps.”
The Sustainability Summit, co-hosted by the MEMA Center for Sustainability and MEMA Government Affairs, will serve as a platform for executive leaders, customers, sustainability professionals and government experts to deliberate on key sustainability and ESG issues. The discussions will revolve around topics like forced labor prevention, available funding from the federal government, customer requirements and reporting, and perspectives from executives and customers.
The summit will be held at the Michigan State University Management Education Center, and is open to executives and professionals from all MEMA member companies. These include automotive and commercial vehicle suppliers, original equipment manufacturers, and aftermarket providers who are involved in managing sustainability and ESG within their organizations.
The summit offers a unique opportunity for small to middle market companies, while also promising valuable insights for businesses of all sizes.
Interested parties, whether MEMA members or non-members, are welcome to attend the event, with discounted rates available for groups from the same member company. More information about the event is available at mema.org/sustainability.
