In this supplier spotlight video, we’re taking a look at Sangsin Brake and how this company has been making top-quality brake pads for more than 50 years.
Today, we’re taking a look at Sangsin Brake, a company that manufactures both original equipment and aftermarket parts for some of the world’s leading automotive manufacturers, premium global retailers and its own brands.
It all started in 1975, when Sangsin opened its doors as the Sangsin Chemical Industrial Company, focused exclusively on manufacturing brake friction products. This focus catapulted Sangsin’s experience and expertise, allowing it to quickly become Korea’s number one brake manufacturer. Then in the 1990s, Sangsin brake forged connections with partners in Germany and Japan and began to develop non-asbestos brake friction technology.
These advancements not only helped to improve braking performance but reduce the negative impact that braking materials had on the environment at the time. Since 2001, Sangsin has focused on creating a firm foundation to serve the global marketplace. The company has achieved this by establishing overseas manufacturing facilities, branch offices and sales networks.
In fact, Sangsin operates state-of-the-art manufacturing plants in the China, India and Mexico. In addition, the company has a corporate sales team in the United States, as well as a branch office in the Middle East. Sangsin now manufactures friction products for both domestic and overseas companies in more than 90 countries, and is now Korea’s largest brake manufacturer. Many of the world’s top automotive manufacturers trust Sangsin’s quality, dependability, which is why the company’s brake pads come standard on a wide range of vehicles.
The company now produces more than 1,200 products available for passenger cars, pickup trucks and select commercial vehicles in North America. And beyond research, development, production and sales of brake parts, Sangsin sees its network of customers – from OE manufacturers and premium global retailers to automotive service professionals and do-it-yourselfers – as partners in their safety and success.
