Stokes honored for leadership and dedication to aftermarket industry

Sean Stokes of Canadian Tire Corporation has been awarded the Art Fisher Memorial Award, Federated’s highest and most prestigious honor. The award was presented to Stokes by Federated CEO Sue Godschalk at the recent Automotive Parts Services Group conference on June 23 2026.

The Art Fisher Memorial Award recognizes unwavering dedication to the success of Federated Auto Parts, its members and initiatives.

Bo Fisher, chairman of Federated Auto Parts, highlighted the significance of the award and Stokes’ contributions.

“The Art Fisher Memorial Award is the highest distinction Federated can present to a member, and this year we are proud to honor Sean Stokes for his outstanding dedication to the mission and values of Federated,” Fisher said. “This award reflects a longstanding tradition of leadership, engagement and commitment to the success of the Federated membership. My father would be incredibly proud to recognize Sean for his steadfast support and the important contributions he continues to make to Federated and the broader aftermarket industry.”

Stokes brings more than 22 years of leadership experience at Canadian Tire Corporation. Since 2017, he has served as vice president of automotive parts merchandising and general manager of PartSource, leading strategic growth and category innovation within Canada’s automotive retail sector.

Throughout his career at Canadian Tire, Stokes has held various senior leadership roles, demonstrating deep expertise in merchandising, data-driven decision-making and operational leadership. His influence extends beyond his corporate responsibilities, having served on the Canadian Marketing Association Ethics and Standards Committee where he contributed to industry best practices and ethical standards in marketing.

Federated CEO Sue Godschalk also praised Stokes’ impact on the organization.

The Art Fisher Memorial Award is named after Federated founder Art Fisher. It is presented annually to a member of the Federated group who has consistently demonstrated dedication to the success of Federated Auto Parts, its members and initiatives.

Recipients of the award also have a history of sharing their time and expertise for the benefit of all members, holding key industry roles and representing the interests of the Federated membership.
