Schaeffler Group USA Inc. has been selected as a recipient of a John Deere Supplier Innovation Award for 2018. The award is presented to a select group of Suppliers who have demonstrated innovation in a product or service they provide to John Deere.
Award selections are based on four factors: Creativity, Feasibility, Collaboration, and Bottom-Line Impact. John Deere created the Supplier Innovation Awards in 2009 to promote innovation in the Company’s Supply Base and recognize Suppliers who think creatively.
Based in Fort Mill, South Carolina, Schaeffler Group USA Inc. supplies a variety of rolling, linear and plain bearing solutions as well as high-precision components to John Deere operations throughout the world. “Schaeffler’s industry-leading technological innovations are often the result of our close collaboration with valued customers such as John Deere,” said Schaeffler Industrial Americas President David Thompson. “Our relationship with John Deere enables us to understand challenges, find solutions and achieve more…together.”
In addition to David Thompson, Schaeffler representatives accepting the recognition during formal ceremonies held April 16, 2019, in Moline included Engine Systems Americas President Jeff Harris, Engine & Driveline Technologies Specialist Eric Berndt as well as Travis Smith, Global Key Account Manager for John Deere.
