Georgianne Dickey, director of marketing at NTN Bearing Corporation of America; Corey Bartlett, president and CEO of Automotive Parts Headquarters; and JC Washbish, vice president of sales and marketing at Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance are among the speakers.
The event will run from May 23-24 at the Hyatt Regency Orlando, as part of Auto Care Connect, the largest industry gathering for the Auto Care Association.
Aimed at facilitating connections and learning for young professionals in the auto care sector, the YANG Leadership Conference will cover topics such as leadership, best practices, teamwork and problem-solving. The conference’s diverse lineup of speakers and sessions promises to foster idea-sharing and offer solutions to today’s automotive aftermarket industry challenges.
Day one of the conference will begin with an opening keynote from award-winning documentary filmmaker and founder of The Rising Heroes Project, Brett Culp. Culp’s presentation, “Superhero Leadership in Uncertain Times,” will explore leading during times of change and encourage attendees to embrace everyday leadership. Culp’s work has been featured in USA Today, WIRED, The LA Times, Entertainment Tonight and more.
Following Culp’s presentation, Michael Chung, director of market intelligence at the Auto Care Association, and Todd Campau, associate director of aftermarket solutions at S&P Global Mobility, will present “Flip the Script,” discussing top industry trends. A panel discussion titled “Unpacking the Trends” will feature industry leaders Michelle Christenson, strategic project manager at IQ Integrated Quality; Andy Massoll, founder and president of The Detroit Garage Auto Family; Shawn Senior, president of Eastern Warehouse Distributors, LLC; and JC Washbish, vice president of sales and marketing at Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, Inc.
The day will conclude with YANG’s signature session, “Career Conversations: What They Don’t Tell You About Management,” where Georgianne Dickey, director of marketing at NTN Bearing Corporation of America, and Ben Smart, vice president of Region North America at ZF Aftermarket, will share their insights.
The second day will open with an interactive workshop led by Arika Pierce, CEO and founder of Piercing Strategies, titled “Up Your Game: A Leadership Jam Session.” The conference will wrap up with YANG’s hallmark session, “Profiles in Leadership,” featuring Corey Bartlett, president and CEO of Automotive Parts Headquarters, Inc., and board chairman of the Auto Care Association.
The conference will also include rapid-fire “Five for Five” presentations, with each presenter given five minutes and five slides to present on a professional development topic relevant to the YANG community.
