Northwood University is set to honor seven distinguished figures from the automotive aftermarket during its annual Automotive Aftermarket Management Education Awards.

The honors are awarded through a partnership between Northwood University, Auto Care Association, Aftermarket Warehouse Distributors Association, and MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers. The much-awaited award ceremony will be a part of the luncheon at AAPEX, scheduled from Nov. 1-3 in Las Vegas.

This year’s esteemed awardees are:

•Randy Buller, CEO of Parts Authority
•Michael C. Buzzard, Partner at Schwartz Advisors
•Arthur “Bo” Fisher, CEO of Fisher Auto Parts
•Dr. Donald James, CEO of Solero Technologies
•Brian Norko, Senior Vice President at Niterra North America, Inc.
•Aaron Schaffer, Director of Marketing Services at Standard Motor Products
•Chris Williams, President and CEO of NA Williams

These industry leaders will be presented with their accolades on Tuesday, Oct. 31, at 11:45 AM at the Venetian. The awards will be handed out by students of Northwood enrolled in the Automotive Aftermarket Management program.

Randy Buller is being recognized for his visionary leadership in transforming Parts Authority from a small New York-based family business to a giant in the national aftermarket domain.

Michael C. Buzzard, known for his aggressive yet insightful deal-making abilities, brings with him over two decades of expertise in the aftermarket.

Arthur “Bo” Fisher stands out for his commitment to education, following in the footsteps of his father, Art Fisher. Fisher Auto Parts notably offers 25 scholarships annually to students aspiring for aftermarket careers. “The most important part of my job has been to listen to other people’s great ideas and implement their strategies to constantly improve the company — better results are obtained by listening, making a plan, and then working on that plan,” Fisher says. “My son Arthur is using what he learned at Northwood now at Fisher Auto Parts where he works along with his siblings.”

Dr. Donald James heads Solero Technologies, a front-runner in producing various solenoids and supporting the electric vehicle revolution.

Brian Norko has showcased exemplary growth initiatives in his roles at Niterra North America, Inc. and has nearly 35 years of experience in the automotive aftermarket industry.

Aaron Shaffer’s journey, starting from a territory sales manager with KYB to now overseeing marketing services at Standard Motor Products, speaks volumes about his passion for the industry.

Chris Williams, with nearly three decades of experience, has held multiple leadership positions at N.A. Williams Company, significantly diversifying the company’s reach in traditional and retail national accounts.

For those interested in being a part of the event, registration can be made online by Monday, Oct. 23.
