20 years
How did you find yourself in the automotive aftermarket? How long have you worked in the industry?
I started by chance, accepting a part-time job during the university period and then it became my passion. It’s a great industry — always in motion. You never stop learning.
What area of the automotive aftermarket do you work in and how has what you do changed in the last 2 years?
We deal with dealerships who are investing in a new project or remodeling the existing facility. We have noticed a different attitude of the investor in the last couple of years. In particular, we can see more attention in the selection of the suppliers. During Covid time, many companies disappeared and the investors are now more interested in the reliability of the supplier, an aspect which is very beneficial to us.

What was the last automotive aftermarket event or trade show you attended and what was the biggest two or three takeaways you gathered from taking part?
If we talk about the US market, NADA show 2022 was the most important event for us. We believe there is not a similar trade show worldwide. We had the possibility to welcome OEMs, important dealer groups and finalize cooperation agreements with several distributors. The level of the attendees is extremely high and professional and we have noticed great attention to the most innovative solutions we were presenting. We can’t wait to take part to the next edition in january!
What’s something you’re particularly proud of accomplishing in the automotive aftermarket?
Eleven years ago, we have created two new brands from scratch, DEA & WORKY, that are now worldwide known in the workshop equipment industry. This is something unforgettable and that makes me and the team very proud.
Now we have a new challenge: making our brands recognized in the North American market. That is why we have founded DEA WORKY NORTH AMERICA INC last year. We have a long way to go, but we’ll get there!
What else do you want us to know about you?
Me and my team are living a very intense and exciting time. Opening a start-up company in this particular historical and economical moment is no picnic. However, we have met in the United States so many people in our industry who have “embraced” our mission and helped us a lot. We are very thankful for the support we have been given and we are trying to give it back every day with passion, dedication and hard work.
