Grote Industries hired John May as National Fleet Sales Manager. May will handle sales and customer contacts for Grote Industries’ wide range of fleet accounts, as well as new business opportunities.

May brings with him over 30 years of maintenance experience in the trucking and VoAg industry, starting in 1984 with Ryder Truck Leasing. Most recent John was the South East Wheel End Manager for Stemco Industries working with fleets, technicians, distributors and trade schools in wheel-end maintenance and training.

Prior to that, May spent the last 22 years as Director of Maintenance of companies such as Kenan Transport/SPG Division, Stevens Tanker Division, PLM Trailer Leasing and Transport Industries.

May brings a wealth of knowledge, both on the technical and sales side as he is always looking for ways to improve vehicle specifications/safety, improve CSA Scores, reduce CPM and reduce inventories through parts consolidation/reduction. May has been trained in Six Sigma and LEAN Process Improvements. He will report to Mark Blackford, Director of National Fleet Sales. Grote Industries specializes in lighting and vehicle safety systems for fleets, OEM and aftermarket distribution.
