The 50th edition of Equip Auto Paris recently took place at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, uniting more than 1,400 exhibitors and brands and about 100,000 professionals from 35 countries under the banner “United by the Same Passion.”

The milestone event, held under the High Patronage of French President Emmanuel Macron, spans five pavilions and more than 100,000 square meters.
Fifty years after its debut, Equip Auto remains a benchmark for Europe’s automotive aftermarket.
A turning point for the industry
Founded in 1975, Equip Auto has become a key European crossroads for the automotive aftermarket and services sector.
The 2025 edition arrives at a pivotal moment as electrification, AI-driven diagnostics and sustainability reshape the industry. Organizers say the show celebrates the past five decades while outlining a practical vision for mobility’s next half-century.
2025 marks both a celebration of heritage and a roadmap for the next half-century of mobility.

Sustainability and responsibility
Equip Auto 2025 aligns its CSR approach with the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and aims to cut the show’s environmental impact by 30 percent compared with 2022.
Key initiatives include:
• Eco-design guides and carbon assessments for exhibitor stands
• Sustainable catering with vegetarian menus and water stations
• Carpool and taxi-sharing options for attendees
• Selective waste sorting and real-time carbon-footprint displays
• Post-show sustainability report for transparency
A new element for 2025: €2 from each ticket sale will be donated to Octobre Rose and Fondation ARC to support breast-cancer research and awareness.
Equip Auto targets a 30% cut in its environmental footprint compared with 2022.
Circular economy and remanufacturing
Dedicated sessions will cover the consolidation of Authorized Treatment Facilities, electronic-component recoding for reuse and battery recycling in EVs.
Manufacturers and distributors will present new remanufactured parts lines and circular business models to meet rising demand.
Technology and digital transformation
The Tech Academy will explore software-defined vehicles, AI for diagnostics and ADAS, cybersecurity and data-access regulation (SERMI), battery repairability, and the impact of Asian manufacturers on the European aftermarket. A special Lighting Focus with Driving Vision News will examine advances in smart headlamp technology. An Outdoor Testing Zone will let visitors experience connected and autonomous systems in operation. Software-defined vehicles and AI diagnostics are taking center stage at this year’s Tech Academy.
Tires and electrification
With EVs driving greater tire wear, major brands such as Michelin, Yokohama, Falken and Euromaster are showing RFID tracking and connected-tire solutions to improve workshop profitability and safety.
Workforce and skills
The Talent Village spotlights training and recruitment for electrical and connected-vehicle technologies, highlighting diversity and career switch programs to address skills shortages in the mobility sector.
