Elring To Showcase Its Training Truck, OE Expertise At Automechanika Frankfurt

Under the theme “Leading Technology – Leading Service,” Elring will be showcasing various standout examples of its service and OE expertise at this year’s Automechanika from September 11 to 15, 2018, in Frankfurt (Hall 4, Booth E11).

A new component of the company’s service concept is the Elring Training Truck, which primarily serves Elring instructors as a training vehicle. “We take it directly to our customers or to trade shows throughout all of Europe. It incorporates a display engine so that we can perform various training activities at events. Our aim is to get close to our customers as often as possible,” says Dirk Willers, Vice President Aftermarket.

There is more and more online contact between Elring and its customers. As a result, the Elring Academy is being constantly improved and developed, and the company has launched webinars in a “virtual classroom” that enable live training sessions with an Elring trainer. The on-site training workshops and “Train the Trainer” events have also been significantly expanded internationally. Another service campaign is now being launched. While communication via Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter has already got off to a very successful start, the company will be stepping up campaigns using WeChat, a platform that is in widespread use in Asia in particular. “WeChat represents the door to our Chinese customers. In this market we have set ourselves ambitious growth targets for the years to come, so there will be a lot of activity here,” explains Willers.

At Automechanika in Frankfurt, Elring will once again make use of the kind of photo campaign that it has used before at other trade shows.
