The CEO of Autopromotec, one of Europe’s biggest automotive industry shows, says the exhibition will return in 2022.

Renzo Servadei, speaking in a video posted to YouTube, said preparations for the 2022 edition are well under way, after the 2021 show was postponed due to Covid-19. (Show booth pre-registration already is happening.) Nearly 1,700 companies exhibited at the 2019 show, which sees around 4.5 percent growth for each edition.

Renzo Servadei, CEO of Autopromotec, speaks with Futurmotive presenter Barbara Pedrotti.

“In 2022, we will probably be the first big European trade show since 2019,” Servadei said. “For this reason, we want to provide companies of the sector with a perfect showcase to present their important innovations to the global market of the aftermarket automotive. We are working to realize an innovative format that will allow us to make business to business meetings more engaging and interactive.”

Servadei said a number of exhibitors already have signed on for the 2022 show.

“Today, considering the progress of the vaccinations, with the activities that are gradually getting back to normal and a world economic growth estimated by the International Monetary Fund to be around 6 percent, we can ensure to our exhibitors, professional operators and to the many visitors that attended our show in the past editions, that Autopromotec will take place in Bologna” from Sept. 25-28, 2022, Servadei said. “I hope to see you again next year in Bologna.”
