From 13-17 September 2022, all international key players from industry, workshops and the trade will finally come together again at Automechanika Frankfurt.
After last year’s compact hybrid format, the 2022 fair is building on its international stature. So far, 80 percent of the companies will come to the fair from abroad, and in total, exhibitors will travel from around 70 countries. This shows that there is a lot to talk about. Due to the massive transformation of the aftermarket and new demands on the industry, topics such as digitalisation, electrification, new mobility and automotive logistics are particularly in the focus of discussion this year.
“I am glad that the whole world of the automotive aftermarket can finally meet in person again! Participants can look forward to numerous product innovations and personal contact with other industry experts. In addition, we have numerous new event formats planned for the restart.”
Olaf Mußhoff, Director Automechanika Frankfurt
Change needs innovations
In 2022, the focus will be on innovations more than ever. This is why Automechanika Frankfurt has launched a new concept for the Innovation Awards. A particularly large number of applications were received for digitalisation and electrification. On 13. September, the first day of the show, the winners will be honoured by an international jury of experts. For the first time, the Innovation Awards will be accompanied by the new special show ‘Innovation4Mobility’.

Here, industry, science and start-ups present their solutions for networked vehicles and climate-neutral mobility in talks, networking sessions and product showcases, including the award-winning products from the Automechanika Innovation Awards. At the Future Mobility Park, participants can discover solutions for the mobility of tomorrow and test them on the test course at the outdoor area.
Networking, networking, networking
After the long pandemic break, the industry needs a place to exchange, develop and discuss again. To create the ideal setting for this, there will be dedicated networking areas on specific topics in the halls for the first time. There, participants will find a lounge with a coffee bar and pop-up stands the ideal setting to meet and discuss with other industry experts.

In addition, numerous events and workshops are planned for all five days of the fair. Under the motto “Mobility in transition”, the body & paint competition is entering its second round. Talented painters from all over the world will compete and design bonnets which they will show to the public and an expert jury. In Hall 12.0, the growing detailing community can look forward to a new action area with practice-oriented workshops. Moreover numerous experts await you to speak on a wide range of topics at the Automechanika Academy. The ‘Future Workshop 4.0’ offers an outlook on the repair of tomorrow. In times of climate change and environmental protection, the subject of the circular economy and remanufacturing is becoming increasingly important. For this reason, Automechanika organizes together with APRA (international Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association) the second Remanufacturing Day on 14. September.
